You may know what needs to get done and still struggle to begin. Small responsibilities can slip away until they become urgent. Conversations may move faster than you intend, leaving you wishing you had paused before interrupting.
For parents, the concern may look different: a child who understands the schoolwork but has trouble completing it, or routines that take far more reminders than expected.
At HavenNexus Advanced Psychiatry & TMS in Palm Coast, we offer ADHD evaluation and medication management. We look at the pattern behind these difficulties, how they affect your life, and what support may be appropriate. Your effort and abilities deserve to be understood alongside your symptoms.
Attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder, or ADHD, can involve inattention, hyperactivity, impulsivity, or a combination of these symptoms.

Some people primarily struggle with attention and organization. Others experience more restlessness or difficulty pausing before acting. ADHD does not always involve obvious physical hyperactivity.
In children, concerns may show up through unfinished schoolwork, frequent interruptions, or difficulty following routines. Adults may lose track of appointments, struggle to complete responsibilities, or feel restless during activities that require sustained attention.
An evaluation considers persistent symptoms across settings and a history beginning in childhood. Sleep problems, anxiety, depression, and other concerns can cause similar difficulties or occur alongside ADHD.
If these patterns keep interfering with daily life, a closer look can help clarify what deserves attention.
We begin with your concerns and history. We discuss when difficulties started, where they show up, previous evaluations or treatment, current medications, and other health concerns.
For adults, that conversation may include school experiences and longstanding patterns that were never fully explained. For children, parents or caregivers can describe what they notice at home and what concerns have come up at school.
Our assessment includes computerized MOXO testing and a broader clinical evaluation. We bring that information together before discussing next steps.
If ADHD is diagnosed, we discuss treatment options and your priorities. Those might include completing responsibilities with fewer interruptions, following conversations more comfortably, or making school mornings less difficult.
Schedule an ADHD EvaluationMOXO is a computerized assessment that looks at attention, timing, impulsivity, and hyperactivity during a structured task. We consider its results alongside your history and the clinical conversation.
A score cannot independently diagnose ADHD or explain every difficulty you are experiencing. Testing is one part of understanding the pattern.
HavenNexus offers computerized testing for patients ages six and older. The assessment takes approximately 20 minutes and may be completed at home or in our office. This age minimum applies specifically to testing.
Our ADHD testing page explains the assessment and testing policies in more detail.
Medication may help reduce ADHD symptoms and make everyday responsibilities more manageable. Options include stimulant and nonstimulant medications. The choice depends on the evaluation, health history, other medications, previous response, and individual needs.
We discuss possible benefits and risks before prescribing. Stimulants can affect appetite and sleep or increase heart rate and blood pressure. They also carry risks of misuse and addiction. Take them exactly as prescribed and never share them with anyone else. Side effects and precautions differ by medication.
Follow-up is about more than whether you can concentrate longer. Are you finishing tasks more consistently? Is sleep being affected? Does the medication help during the parts of the day when difficulties are greatest? Tell us about both improvements and concerns.
Behavioral strategies and practical support can also be part of ADHD care. For children, support may include parent education and school-based interventions. Medication and support should address the difficulties that matter in everyday life.

Bring your current medication list, previous testing or evaluation records, and examples of difficulties at home, school, or work. Parent or caregiver input may be helpful when appropriate.
You do not need to arrive with every detail organized. A few specific examples can give us a place to begin.
We discuss what the evaluation suggests and which care options may fit your needs. You can ask about medication, other support, side effects, or concerns about trying treatment again.
If treatment begins, follow-up allows us to review benefits and difficulties that remain. A change in attention is useful information, and so is whether mornings, workdays, or homework feel more manageable.
HavenNexus offers in-office and telehealth psychiatric appointments. Contact the office to discuss which option is appropriate for your visit.
Coverage for psychiatric evaluation and medication management depends on your insurance plan and benefits.
HavenNexus lists computerized ADHD testing as a $150 self-pay service that is not covered by insurance. This testing fee is separate from psychiatric evaluation and follow-up visit fees.
Review our insurance and fees and testing information, or contact the office with questions about expected costs.

If everyday responsibilities keep taking more effort than others seem to see, we can talk through that pattern. You can also reach out about concerns affecting your child at school or home.
