At HavenNexus Advanced Psychiatry & TMS, we offer depression treatment in Palm Coast, FL, beginning with a thoughtful conversation about your symptoms and history. Our options include medication management, TMS, IV ketamine, and SPRAVATO® when appropriate. You do not need to know which treatment you want before reaching out.
Depression affects more than mood. It can change how you think, sleep, eat, and manage daily life. Unlike sadness that passes, depression symptoms may persist and interfere with responsibilities, relationships, or activities that matter to you.

Common symptoms include:
You may recognize several of these changes or find that your experience is harder to describe. A symptom list cannot diagnose depression. If symptoms persist or affect daily life, an evaluation can help clarify what is happening. You can seek support without being certain of a diagnosis.
We want to understand both your symptoms and what they have meant for you. That includes reviewing your health history, current medications, previous care, and goals. If treatment helped only partly or side effects made it difficult to continue, those experiences matter.
Our psychiatric care team uses that information to discuss an appropriate plan. Medication management may be a starting point. When previous treatment has not provided enough benefit, we can explore whether an advanced option fits your needs.
Schedule a Depression EvaluationWhen medication has not helped enough or has been difficult to tolerate, TMS therapy may be worth discussing. TMS uses magnetic pulses to stimulate brain areas involved in mood regulation. TMS devices have FDA clearance for specific depression indications; your evaluation determines whether treatment is appropriate.
During our in-office sessions, you remain awake without anesthesia. Possible side effects include scalp discomfort and headache; seizures are a rare risk. We review your medical history and explain the recommended schedule so you can understand what participating in treatment involves.
If antidepressants have not provided sufficient relief, we may evaluate you for IV ketamine therapy. We consider it for selected patients with treatment-resistant depression, a term used when adequate antidepressant trials have not helped enough.
Ketamine treatment for depression is off-label, meaning the FDA has not approved it for this condition. Our care involves in-office infusions under clinical supervision.
Before recommending ketamine, we discuss its potential benefits, side effects, risks, and limitations in relation to your history. We also consider how infusions and follow-up would fit into your broader psychiatric care.
SPRAVATO® treatment is another option we may discuss for eligible adults with treatment-resistant depression. SPRAVATO® is an esketamine nasal spray, distinct from IV ketamine, and is FDA-approved for adult TRD alone or with an oral antidepressant.
You self-administer the spray under clinical supervision in a REMS-certified healthcare setting, followed by at least two hours of monitoring. Risks include sedation, dissociation, breathing problems, increased blood pressure, and abuse or misuse.
You need someone to drive you home and must wait until the next day after restful sleep before driving. We explain these requirements so you can plan for each visit.
Sometimes the question is whether a medication is helping enough, whether side effects are manageable, or whether the plan needs another look. Our medication management services provide space to discuss those questions.
We review your response and consider medication options or adjustments when appropriate. Your account of changes in mood, energy, sleep, and daily functioning helps inform that conversation. Medication benefits and side effects vary; do not stop or change prescribed medication without speaking with your provider.
You do not need perfect words or a complete treatment history for your first visit. Bring your questions, current medication information, and any records you have.
We discuss your symptoms and explain recommended options, including practical requirements and follow-up. We offer in-office and telehealth psychiatric care. TMS, IV ketamine, and SPRAVATO® require office visits. Treatment schedules and responses vary, and we review progress as care continues.
We accept a range of insurance plans. Coverage depends on your policy, the recommended treatment, and eligibility requirements. TMS and SPRAVATO® may be covered; IV ketamine is generally self-pay.
Our team can review benefits and explain payment options. Our Insurance and Fees page lists accepted plans and self-pay information.

You can arrive with questions, uncertainty, or a treatment history that has been frustrating. We will help you understand your options and consider an appropriate starting point.
No. Persistent symptoms or changes in daily functioning are reasons to seek an evaluation, even when you are still managing your responsibilities.
Not necessarily. We review your needs and previous care before recommending medication management, TMS, IV ketamine, or SPRAVATO®.
That history deserves a closer look. We review medication trials, side effects, and symptom changes to consider whether treatment-resistant depression or another concern may explain the difficulties.
We offer telehealth psychiatric care. If your plan includes TMS, IV ketamine, or SPRAVATO®, those treatments take place in-office.
